The fuel sediment bowl on my '39 H has the valve twisted off. It looks like the extra fuel line from the gasoline tank was just plugged up, so I'm guessing this is the original unit. No suffix on serial number, so a distillate tractor.
TS has a bowl for an A, and several other models listed. I doubt I am ever going to tput the 2nd tank on it, so I wondered if the A sediment bowl thread size matched?
2nd question: This tractor has no starter or battery, although it has a starter button and what looks like the base of a battery box on it. It starts on the 2nd or 3rd pull with the crank. I was thinking about adding JUST a battery and starter, and putting one of those solar panel trickle chargers on it to keep the battery up. That way my bride or daughters could start it if required. Eventually I want to restore it with a full 6V generator and lights. Does this sound like a valid temporary solution?
