Have a 560G that we use to feed the cows round bales with. Always started after a couple of revolutions now matter how cold it was, and it gets cold in Minnesota. Ussually when it gets around 5 degrees we plug it . It even started when the engine was getting tired last winter. By spring the engine was fouling up plugs and not running on all 6. Took it up to school recently and put it on the dino. It only had 34 horsepower and it still started in the cold!! Doing an overhaul. Will see if it still cold blooded after I'm done. Also have an 806D that we use to blow snow. Run it on number 1 diesel and plug it in when it gets cold enough. Never fails to start after a couple of revelotions even when it is 25 below. Don't use ether. Dad don't care much for it unless all else fails.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
