We are backed on the trailer. With the big tires it's 8' outside to outside. Loading backwards let me get the C.G. in the right spot. Once it scrunched and rolled over the trailer tires I kept easing it back and watching the rear of the pickup until it was squatting just right. Pulled like a dream.
I looked closer and apparently it does have disc brakes! I'm not familiar enough with 9 series machines to know what swaps and what doesn't. Tag confirms it's a WR9, SN is 29930 which makes it a '48. Confirmed with an "R" casting date on rear case. However block has an "O" and I haven't looked on the head yet.
Looks like it's been in the field once or twice so could have farmer upgrades over the years.
No power steering; hydraulics only go to the rear remotes.
Still has the foot deccellerator. Brake pedals are made of stamped and welded sheet metal. Shifter is unusual too. The WD9 I brought in a couple of weeks ago had cast pedals and a more conventional shifter.
