Hi Bill ,
This is tricky to explain on the interenet .
What you need to do when you set the float leval is .
Let the float rest on the needle valve , this is the way the fuel shuts off . When the needle valve is closed no fuel . As fuel is used the float will drop and open the needle .
Kind of like a toilet tank .
So you see that the float is set by letting it rest on the needle . Your putting a new needle and seat in ? Be carefull bending the tab for height .
