If you ABSOLUTELY need it you could TRY disconnecting the lines going to it and loop a hose between both the lines you unhook and the diconnected fittings on the box. This will keep dirt out of the box and allow fluid to circulate as you strong man the steering wheel. This may also greatly decrease the other hyd functions because the priority valve will be supplying the max amount of fluid to ps lines you unhooked and looped. I'm not sure what the results would be if you capped the supply lines. I would not recommend that. That said I spent my share of time in the seat of a variety of Farmalls all with less than 65 horse back on the farm in KS. Good luck!
