Well rusty farmall....if you had read the previous posts thoroughly, you would have noticed that the guys were complaining that they could not get 3/4" washers or 5hp flat head Briggs head gaskets at their local Autozone, or O"Reily"s. Not John Deere! Seems that many people don"t realize just how many thousands of models of equipment there really are, and that stocking every single part is not only expensive, but would take a HUGE warehouse. Perhaps the dealer did have the head gasket, but unless the guy working the counter knew EXACTLY where it was, or had the part number, its IMPOSSIBLE to walk around the warehouse, peeking into every parts bin, trying to find it! Its real easy to get frustrated as a customer, until you try standing on the other side of the counter for a day!
