Of course, there were some marketing experiments. In 1941, as part of a marketing experiment, IH produced a very limited number of pastel colored Farmalls, and called them "Lady Farmall". The idea was that with the US on the brink of war, most of the men would be in the armed forces instead of the farm, and the women would need to do the farming. The Lady Farmall was the idea of a marketing team, and had the pastel color, wider seat and a makeup mirror. I don't know if pink was to be an option. The marketing study was a complete failure and the few tractors built were converted to standard Farmall configuration before sale.
