I restored my 450 2 years ago. I replaced every thing in suspension of the seat. I got my spring from Bates Corporation Bourbon, In.. I weigh 230 lbs. and the spring is a little stiff for me. Seat only drops about 1 1/2 inches when I set on seat. When I got tractor it had one of those spring over shocks and was one the most miserable riding thing with it.
