Putting a table spoon of ATF in the cylinders can free up the rings, if it has not run doing work, do that before any other action. Just getting the residual oil out of the system can just take some hours of operation at mid to near full power. I would not put an abrasive into any engine ever. If it isn"t seating the rings it was not correctly rebuilt and deglazed. Jim
