Check your splines on the IPTO shaft, this is the hollow shaft that has the smaller shaft sticking out of it, the splines will wear thin and then will start to bend over. Also check the splines inside clutch pressure plate that the IPTO shaft slides into, they might be worn down to. It could be something inside the pto also, sounds can travel to different areas threw the shaft that runs the pto.
