Nothing you do to or with the tractor (except put a big bore kit and turbo on it) could even begin to wear the differential. Drive it and work it as much as you want. on a car or truck with posi and 4X4 drive it does make a difference and the difference is thousands of miles going straight, 70 mph, and steering geometry that is dependent on same size tires. The tractor meets none of these. Imagine needing to put different size tires on a Farmall when doing contour plowing! you would need to change the tire from side to side to prevent ""wear"" when going the other direction on the side hill.
