Had to do it the hard way, not on an M, but a WD Allis. Took the old shock & mount bolts to my local friendly NAPA store. The old guy wearing bib overalls & flannel shirt, who knows how to read a paper book, found what I needed in about 10 minutes. Measured the closed & extended length along with bolt size. The Monroe book has a chart with those dimensions. Found a shock that matched. HTH Willie
