Vinyl or canvas seat? Is red and white proper for 46 model?

Wondering if vinyl has any advantages over canvas seat material? Saw a site where both where being sold, though canvas would breath more, be less hot and sticky on hot days and less stiff on cold. Yet canvas may retain an water. Wondering which would be best to go with on new seat.

Also wondering if 46 is too early for the read and white seat or if it really makes a difference?
