I can't say on #1 or #2, but adapters for the universal type mowers seems reasonable.
#3 is the PTO standardization hitch plate for the A/B and later models. When installed, it sets the distance from the end of the PTO shaft to the hitch pin to the standard dimension. These plates are specific to tractor models. With the proper plate, a given tractor should then be able to hook up to any PTO powered implement that is built to the standard. Before this was standardized, each implement required different specific parts to connect to particular tractor models.
It happens that the bolt spacing on these plates allows bolting to the front of some tractors, but it was not what IH intended. In fact, hitching to the front of some tractors is a good way to break them in half.
