Kirk,don"t know about the first question but the second anything is possible but not worth the effort.First the 86 series cab sit forward so you would have to use the rear mount tank or put a filler neck in the cab with you second the rear cab mounts holes are not even casted on early 66"s and aren"t drilled or tapped on late black stripes.There are a lot more differences but those are the biggest and most obvious.Don"t forget the 86"s have no steering tower with all your controls.All in all could it be done?Sure but worth the effort no.
