That doesn't come off. A PTO shaft is two parts. One is the square shaft with a U joint. The other is a high quality piece of pipe with a 8 inch piece welded on the end (that piece you show) that has a square hole in the middle. If you could see inside the round shaft you would see that it is just a piece of pipe with a yoke on the other end.
If that round piece is bad you need to buy new. Get ready - PTO shaft pieces are pricey. If it took enough torque to twist the square shaft I would say both pieces need to be replaced.
