Looks like they were available at the start of Feb. 54. Was a new attachment for SMTA tractors. Later in the month a bulletin was sent out that the attachment was released for M & SM & MD & SMD. Two to four holes needed drilled when used on a M, MD or SM, SMD tractors for the rear support saddle. No wide front like you ask about in attachment section of M or SM parts books printed before 1954. Knowing IH they probably were some of the wide fronts being tried out before the official availability. Interesting enough in later 1954 IH came out with the old type adjustable wheelbase wide front attachment for the SMTA tractors for use with beet harvesters.
