If the draft is on LIGHT, the position control should allow the hitch to move up and down with the position control lever.
So the position control won't lift the digger when draft is "light" and doesn't hold the hitch part way?
Putting the draft on HEAVY pretty well forces the 3pt to stay up regardless of the setting of the position control
I run my draft in light at all times, and only pull the draft to heavy when I need an extra few inches of lift, like a post hole digger, or to have my 3pt arms clear the PTO shaft on the balers. I do not do any amount of ploughing so position control is fine with me...
