Red's '51 H and paint guns

Red, when you painted that H did you use spray cans or a paint gun. What paint guns are best for restorations? Would a $50 touch up gun be good enough for primer and final paint? For removing the paint, Has anyone had experience with the washer wand that mixes sand with the water to "sandblast"? Would this setup get into gaskets and seals like a regular sandblaster? I've heard not. I'm not currently into cosmetics, but hope to be someday. Responses welcome. Just trying to learn.
