Original pumps on the 560 did not have that flex ring that always fails in later models. Of course , it could have been installed at sometime in it's life. Those spring loaded check valves in the return line at the tank do give trouble sometimes. Fact is we lost the sale of a spanking new 560 due to the ball going through the spring and partially plugging the return. You can easily tell if something in pump is causing plugging by taking the timing window off side of pump carefully and examine for small particles of plastic.
