Does that check valve have to be there. Recently took the return line off of the pump and the fuel kept flowing out of it. Never slowed down. To me it looks like all that is at the tank side of the return line is an elbow fitting. Where is that check valve actually at. Is it in the tank. The reason I am asking is that when I am running my 560 diesel above pto rpm it seems to surge. Took the sight window off of the pump and didn't see any signs of the washer falling apart. Wasn't sure what to really check next. Tractor starts and runs good up to that rpm and then I notice the surge. Thanks
