I do not have a lock for the nut. There are 2 nuts one to lock the other but it is broke I tried to weld it but no good. I do know the bearing has flat spots and the bearing race has a split in it. I have not gone any further, I didn't think I could get parts. But if I can I will tear it on down and maybe get some pics? If that will help me diagnose it. This tractor was my father in laws I bought it after he died in a tractor rollover on a different tractor. It has a 3 point hitch I added heavy duty one, wide front end and a high low transaxle and this hand clutch. It runs great and looks good...If it would only move. I probably wore it out digging out my pond and landscaping with the Box blade:( It is an H Oh and the nut does not have notches it is the type of nut you get a chisel and a hammer to tighten it.
