I have one Farmall M with some gear whine. Particularly in reverse and low, with some in all field gears. I now have 90wt gear oil in the transmission. I read a reference to Lucas oil on one of the forums here and that got me to thinking about putting some in my transmission. It is pretty pricey, however since a gallon costs about $35.00. My question is, do you think it might work to quieten the transmission whine? The statement on the jug said engines or transmissions and I wonder how it could work for either application. All responses are welcome. Thanks , Ellis
