Yep, it was a nice find. We think it was new to New Zealand railways at Ashburton station but it ended up running a hedge cutter! Last used in 1997 then backed in the shed where we pulled it out of last Saturday. Learnt the lesson that soilid rubber tyres don"t spread weight when it went trhrough the deck of the lorry on the way home, you should have seen the smoke coming off the back lorry tyres when the wood of the deck was rubbing on it, managed to put it in reverse and wind it up to a cross member to get home! We are going to try a bit of petrol in it this morning and see if we can get it to make a noise. Cheers, Richard.
