Depends on how heavy the disk is. We pulled two 28 foot disks one was a 490 and one was a 496 with a 1486 and a 1586 for years. The 490 was a way better disk IMHO. Went away from disking awhile back. Started to do some more disking again lately in certain places. Have a 305 magnum and it played with that old 490. It wasn't even fair. So we traded up to a 30 foot Landoll disk. Now it's everything it's got for that 305 to pull that disk 6mph. The Landoll also weighs in at just over 16,0000 lbs too.
