I do wish you luck, but just saying here, it seems like you're going through an awful lot of work and expense when the right thing to do is figure out what's wrong with the steering box and fix it. It's not even going to work right when you do gather up all the parts anyway, and frankly, it will probably do the exact same thing all over again after you've gone through all this effort.
