1954 international w4,, won't start.

Last time I used my tractor it ran fine, however
when I shut it off I jerked the throttle lever
from full to nothing rapidly.(never did that
before) the tractor shut off light turning off
the ignition. When I tried to start it a few days later, it wouldn't start. It turns over and over and gas drips from carburator but it won't
start. I get a little smoke out of exhaust.
Did I break something??? My tractor has always
started within 4 or 5 cranks...
also It has a distributor and outside coil so
It is not magneto.
