It all depends on your expectations of it. My dad has a '48 Cub with the 42" Woods mower and in taller grass and weeds it is first gear only operation. But, if you never plan to take off more than a few inches of growth the 60" might be OK. IH did market the later Cubs with this size mower but they had more power than the early models.
