If the steering were to all of sudden work when the remote valve was held against the relief pressure valve that would could mean your flow divider isn't working right or the oil has an easier path through the open center remote valve than to the power steering when the flow divider was added the remote valves had to be removed and a plug put in one of the ports to stop oil flow and then the remotes received their flow threw the "J" shaped pipe off the flow divider to the number 1 (left) valve or right handle controlled. this valve is different when you have the flow divider for PS than when you don't. what happens to the pressure gauge when you raise your fast hitch and continue to hold the lever does the pressure spike up?
