I guess you could add weld to short 3/4 adaptor/extension and then grind to fit. You also may be able to stick a washer or something in there to take up the slack. I never had an issue with one either though. Honestly when I took the one off my 200 last it was just a little tighter than finger tight and it had been a loooooong time. We have had the tractor for over 40 years that I know and my dad said he never remembers changing the rear or transmission oil ever. Oil was not that bad a little water, but thick and nasty.
