Bob,I just bought an H yesterday. It has a 12 volt system with an alternator. It also charges with the needle all the way to the right when started. Not sure what it does after running awhile. The seller said he was told by the installing mechanic that he should let the engine idle a while before reving to minimize this. Sounded like a poor solution to me. I'll be looking for your responses. I plan to change my alternator back to a generator wired for 12 volts in order to fit under the hood properly. Smokey
