If the tank is OK check the sediment bowl assembly(take it apart and clean), check the fuel line,and the inlet screen in the carburetor. The best thing I have found to clean a line, is an old .035 mig gun liner, works just like a sewer tape. Shine a light in the tank,then you will see whether it is clean or not.
