Hi Gene, most of the head bolts come as a matched set from the factory being the same length. Granted differnce in length is not a 100% way of telling headbolt stretch but it's a good way and the way I was taught exspecially when working on diesels. Yes they will torque the same but if the bolt has soften then it will stretch when torqued and never achive the same torque set as the rest after the engine has run awhile. Another way to tell is if you have to continually torque the same headbolt. T_Bone
