Need some advice. Have 1968 IH 544 with C200 engine. Limited use tractor (10 hrs yearly). Started the other day and after 10 minutes idle oil started coming out breather (spitting out, I'm guessing around 1 to 2 oz in 10 min). Oil was a gas smell to it and looks very runny, oil is strait 30 wgt low ash. Also getting oil leaking around head and intake when cold, this leak stops when warmed up.
Couple of questions:
1) how bad is this condition. Can I just keep changing oil.
2) what do I need to look at for troubleshooting. Can check cylinders for compression and have replaced headgaskets on auto engines.
3) assume gas in oil is coming thru rings. My plugs do get fouled up after about 20 hrs run time.
4) my oil looks very thin with carbon deposits in it. Perhaps this is the oil and gas not completely mixing.
Appreciate any thoughts on this condition and how I should proceed.

The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
