For all the letter series tractors we have (not TA equipped) we use 85w-140 or equal. The older machines were not made with as exacting tolerances as newer ones; these newer machines were engineered with Hy-Tran as the recommended lube. Hy-Tran is an excellent lube BUT in older machines it MAY cause the transmission gears to make more noise.
