Been a while since I built my BA so can not say yes or no but do know it is a wet sleeve engine and when I did that engine I did it as old school as I could and use as few new parts as I could. The BA still purrs like a kitten and that is after at least 5 years since I built it. I.E. Old school as in using as many used parts as I could including the head gasket
