I did call the Case IHC dealer, he said the 656, 706, and 806 gas all take the same muffler , but i got buyers guides that show pictures of a 656 with a stubby little M muffler, obviously there's been some changes, all i know i get them from Stanley muffler Co now, there called a IHC 13
