Very early 966 had a 9 MM head which is replaced with the 10 MM head. Main change is max fuel setting, and full load speeds may be different also. 100 6A 90 A xxxx is 9 MM head, 100 6A 100 A xxxx is 10 MM. Speed stamped will usually be 700/2400 or 700/2600. Last # is the full load speed, high idle no load will be about 250 higher. You can make the changes on a PTO dyno to get what you need.
