Midmount remotes were optional on 706's. If you look just above the batteries (both sides) you will see threaded ports in the cast steering column/dash support structure. The couplers threaded into these, and were supplied by steel lines run from the remote valves under the seat. The steel lines ran through the channel you see cast into the front of the rockshaft housing, directly below the front edge of the seat, then on under the platform to the couplers. These were for loaders, front mount cultivators, etc. I've seen several 706's and 806's with them, however my 706 does not have them. Of course, these would still require you to use your existing valves, but you would not have to run hoses all the way to the rear. I have also heard of a third remote being added to an 806 (the valves will stack.) The guy had to fabricate his own handle (factory only provided for 2), and do some cutting on the LH seat support to clear the valve itself. You might be able to do something like that and use it to power a joystick type loader control.

It was the only
