The value of these plows seems to vary a lot according to where you live. In Wisconsin a good #8 with very good moldboards, all parts on the plow, hitch is complete, and adequate tires will often sell for that $240...and more.
If the moldboards are broken, cracked, or pretty much worn out then that plow is basically a "parts" plow, as good moldboards are hard to find and sell for $50-100.
