Yes its easily done.Have generator rebuilt adding
to more fields to it.Cost about 60.00.Install 12v
coil.The old delco remy 12v works fine.You will need to change from pos. to neg.ground.The process
is to reverse the polarity at the voltage regulator.I have the steps but can't locate them now.If you have the system upgraded the repairman should know what this is.I keep looking for the
steps I have and let you know
