mjordal, I have a 966 that I pull a 13 shank 3pt chisel with regular point 8 inches deep in med ium clay loam/calachie based soil here in Central Texas. I also pull a 13 shanks drag type Graham-Hoeme with sweeps at slight shallower depth too. The 4in twisted shanks might require a few more pony's but an 856 will/should handle it unless you are in a heavy clay based soils! Later, John A.
