Most of the caseih line tractors are actually made by new holland. I looked at the c line and didn't partically care for them. Talked with a few guys that had them and they weren't thrilled with there performance. I ended up buying a used 2003 jd 5520 with a loader and very low hours. I worked. For a deere dealer at the time and got a great deal. With that being said if you look at a deere I would highly recomend going with the 5m series tractors. The 5e series are their bottom of the line tractors, they aren't made as high of quality as the m series,weaker rear/3pt, don't have the trans options like a m series, and a bit lighter. The m series tractors have been a great tractor with very few problems. We sold quite a few to golf courses (who destroy everythin) and never had any come in for major repairs. If i were to buy a m series tractor i would look for a used pre 2012 that does not have the tier 4 emissions. Good luck with your search jim.…
