The pipe that is on it is about all that will fit through the hole in the hood.I have a Super C that has a muffler on it and you know I can not tell that the sound level is much different. The one with the straight pipe does however have a different tone to it.I'm not one that likes load motors a lot myself, I wear ear plugs when I mow. I don't belive the C is any loader than my Briggs & Straten on my old lawn mower.Sorry if the straight pipe offended some,trust me I'm not the make lot's of noise to draw attention type.
