Lemme guess: it's bent back toward the seat. Right?
After 2 years of carrying and using an A-22 sickle bar all summer, mine was more than a little noticeably bent from the bounce of carrying the bar. IIRC, IH made a special HD rockshaft arm specifically to address that problem back in the day. Not sure if they are still available. Wouldn't surprise me if they did, but it would be pricey.
I got a LH outer (with shield) salvage replacement put on the right side a couple weeks ago. I figure the welded on shield adds some strength. I also have it in mind to make up a different lift system for next year with another cylinder and a home made bypass block for the touch control.
