The cylinders are set up as one way but they have a plugged outlet at the top (return line capability?). I wasn't sure if the load lowering intermittantly on its own was a sign of a worn or bad check valve. Hasn't really caused any big problem except while pulling kids behind on a tobaggan the rear blade occasionally started to lower (kids were 20-30 feet behind):).
