Click on the the Article archives to the left of this page. Tab down to the Step by step 12 volt conversion by Bob M. Follow his recomendation to the letter and you will have a fine charging system. The only suggestion I would have is to get your Alt. from a junk yard. If you buy a rebuilt one from a parts store and it fails, you have no warrenty on electrical parts. A junk yard will replace it. Also make a new bracket for the alt. so the alt. bolt is supported on both sides. If you use the old generator bracket the bolts will brake. Tom w.
