I have not done it to a single front, I have done it to several wagons that had bushings in them, and front king pin bearings on GMC truck spindles. I would determine the actual size of the axle shaft. Buy a new, or have one made from 4130 chrome steel. Using that as a size, purchase caged needle bearings that run on that shaft size, at least 1.500" in length. I would then have the hub bored on a lathe to accept the needle bearing cage (engineered for a .001" interference fit. I would place A tubular spacer between the bearings when assembling them to assure there separation on the axle. Place bronze thrust washers on either side between the fork and the hub to assure centering. An Oring on each end that is held in place by the thrust washers and is in the bore of the bearings to keep out dirt, and in grease, would assure long life. Jim
