Back in '97 we had an ice storm and lost power for a week, after the first day grandpa had enough of the cold and got the M out and hooked up to the stand by plant, it handled the house very well until grandma, out of habit, put something into the microwave to thaw! That old M really snorted when she hit the start button on the microwave, grandpa came running out of the shop like he'd been shot when he heard that! Needless to say grandma got an ear full when he got in the house! Later that day we got the MD warmed up enough to start and got that coupled to the generator, it sure burned less fuel in 24 hours compared to the M.
