I'm brand new to the list. I just bought an IH 3514 with an International 3141 hoe and I'm going over the rig thoroughly. I changed the Hy-Tran fluid and the return hydraulic filter but can't find the primary hydraulic filter.
On the right side of the hoe near the coupling with the tractor is a round cylinder which protrudes with hoses attached that's about the size of the filter, but along with a centered bolt, as you would find on a canister, the unit has about 8 bolts around the base holding it on.
Does anyone know if the primary filter is housed in this (it's thick steel, not the metal stamping one would expect on a canister), and if not, where might it be hiding??
